Tips for Taking the Course

As a small or medium size business owner or manager, time is money! We want to acknowledge that and thank you for your commitment. The course is designed to help you get ready to meet the new regulations set under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2005.

The content allows you to assess your current level of understanding and readiness. The audits are a tool we encourage you to use. They allow you to take an objective look at your readiness to meet new regulations. And you have the opportunity to think about the actions you might want to take and an opportunity to identify supports that you might need in order to comply with regulations.

In order to value your time we would suggest managing the learning in this course in the following ways:

  1. Plan to take the course in small chunks of time. Each module is divided into a number of subtopics. These subtopics have page numbers (for example page 1 of 10). You will always know when a natural break is coming.
  2. It may take an extended period of time to complete the course. The course is set up to remind you where you left off!
  3. If you have employees that are involved in strategic planning, have them also take the course.
